The best part? Your child decides what happens tomorrow.

Every story ends with two options. Your child taps one, and tomorrow night's story starts from there.

That one small decision changes how bedtime feels for both of you.

1

They look forward to bedtime

Child development experts call it reward anticipation: when kids know something good is waiting, the brain starts looking forward to it. Bedtime stops being the end of the fun and becomes the moment they find out what happens next. Fewer stalls, more "Is it time yet?"

2

The routine runs deeper

Predictable, repeated rituals help a child's nervous system recognize it's time to wind down. A story that's waiting every night, and that they had a hand in, becomes an anchor in the routine. Pajamas, teeth, story, choice, lights out.

3

They drift off settled

Psychologists link a sense of agency to calm and security. Making the choice gives your child a small feeling of control at the end of the day and closes the loop, so the mind can let go. They fall asleep content, already picturing tomorrow.

For parents who want a sweet bedtime with their child

Built for the 7 PM reality.

No app to police.

It's an email. You already know how email works.

No screens for them to scroll.

You open it. You read it. Buttons are for tomorrow — then lights out.

A new chapter every night.

Part of a real quest with a beginning, middle, and satisfying end. Then a new quest starts.

You stop inventing plots at 7:58 PM.

We've got tonight. You've got the hugs.

I won't pretend this is perfect.

It would be wonderful to make up your own story every night, and for many parents that's doable for a while. But the creative juices run dry, and the bedtime story becomes one more thing on your plate, quietly turning a meaningful moment into a chore.

Ready for Bed knows parenting is hard enough. We take the story off your list so you can spend your energy enjoying and connecting with your child during those special evening moments.

It's a healthy middle ground. Add as much of your own creative input as you like. Then, when your child is ready for bed, you can just relax and read a story you'll both enjoy, side by side.

Why kids love choosing

Choosing isn't a gimmick — it's why they ask for one more chapter tomorrow.

Their name. Their fox. Their purple.

The story feels like it was left on their pillow — not pulled from a random pile.

Two doors, every night.

Kids who "hate bedtime" suddenly have a reason to get under the covers: they have a vote.

It remembers.

Tap the mossy path tonight, and tomorrow starts on moss. No amnesia. No "random story #47."

Always safe.

Choices change how you arrive — never into scary places. Every night winds down soft.

Questions parents ask

Is this an app?

No. Stories arrive by email. Tap a choice in the email; tomorrow continues from it.

What if we forget to tap a choice?

No problem. If you don't tap a choice, we'll assume you weren't able to get to that story that day, so we'll resend the same story the next day at bedtime, for your convenience. We know every family's different, and we're open to any suggestions you have about how to handle this.

What ages?

Written for roughly 3–9. Voice stays gentle for littles and still engaging for early readers who listen along.

Are the stories scary?

There are elements of natural scariness, like wild animals and dark forests, but nothing gruesome and nothing supernatural. How scary it actually feels to your kids largely depends on how you read it.

Is every child getting a totally different story?

Creative guidance provides the plot skeleton and variety for the stories, and AI is used to customize them to your child's preferences. This is the best way we've found to ensure quality stories and unique personalization.

Can I add another child later?

Yes — on the One Child plan you can switch which child is active, or join the Family waitlist for up to 4 profiles on one bill. Each child gets their own sidekick and starts at Chapter 1 so they never jump in mid-story lost.

How do I cancel?

One click from any story email or your My Family page. No phone calls, no guilt screens. We don't want your money because you forgot to cancel, so we'll send you reminder emails before your trial ends and before you're charged.
